I’m so looking forward to sharing more of our home transformation with you (when I figure out where to actually start…) but in the meantime, I wanted to share something super exciting: my interiors edit for Maison Numen. A collection of the most beautiful artisan products from around the world, which I was lucky enough to curate and have styled in my own London home.
Maison Numen is an online destination for luxurious, meaningful home decor. Their team have the über-enviable job of travelling the world, from Oaxaca to Scandinavia, and the Amazon, to find skilled makers and innovative designers who use traditional local techniques to make the most beautiful, delicate pieces. Pieces so unique that add instant character and the spirit of faraway lands to your home.
It was passion for travel that connected me with Maison Numen and I was so honoured when they got in touch to ask me to be their second guest curator, for a collection running through February and March. I had a hard time picking from all of the gorgeous pieces on the site, but managed to whittle it down to an edit of 16 favourites, inspired by my favourite destinations and top spots on my bucket list... My absolute favourite picks have to be the monochrome marble poured plate by Danish designer, Troels Flensted; the special dotted sake set by Ikako Iwamoto, and the incredible hand-stitched cushions from West Bengal.
It was so amazing to see it all come together for a shoot in our home back in January. The pieces I'd picked all worked so well together in our home, adding some colour and patterned highlights — I wish I could keep it all! The whole process really highlighted to me the importance of investment pieces, and the magic of both collecting things from your travels and pieces that remind you of your adventures, which is something we've really focused on so far with our home, always picking ceramics, prints or textiles up when we're away.
I had such a great time with the Maison Numen team in my house, and really can't wait to show you more of our cosy abode... all in good time, I promise! I really hope you like the pictures below, which the team beautifully shot of the collection in situ..
