Yauatcha is easily one of my favourite restaurants in London. I could and would happily live on their dim sum… but it ain’t cheap so sadly, it’s more of a special occasion kinda place. Low and behold Supreme Saturdays: the best value set weekend menu, which makes it way more do-able, and if you’re into dim sum like me, it’a a total dream feast.
At £52 per person, I’m not suggesting it’s a bargain, nor your regular Saturday brunch down at the local greasy spoon, but for what you get it’s insanely good value. Available all day for a minimum of two people, you each get… a cocktail, a steamed dim sum selection, a baked dim sum selection, a main dish (plus rice and bok choi to share), and a dessert, AND a bottle of wine to share. It’s SUCH GOOD VALUE!
We had a table booked at 2pm — earlier than that seemed wrong for making the most of the cocktails and bottle of wine, and we seriously loved and devoured every last bite. For mains, I got the lobster vermicelli (mmmm!) and Ed got the truffle beef rib, and my favourite bit of all had to be the colourful steamed dim sum — I’m telling you, I’m a girl obsessed. Still drooling thinking about those black truffle seafood dumplings…
Supreme Saturdays is available at the Broadgate Circle location (which is pretty fancy pants) and it’s the sort of dreamy Saturday situ you plan ahead and look forward to, rather than the kind you rock up to hungover in your PJs… Take a date, take your friends, take your parents. If you’re into dim sum or just a bloody good deal, I can’t recommend it more.
