If you don’t live south of the river, be warned, Milk Teeth is a bit of schlep, but worth it for the brunch, I promise. Plus! Tooting has plenty to see and do, recently named by Lonely Planet as one of the world's coolest neighbourhoods, don’t you know? That’s peaked your interest for a long old ride on the Northern Line, right?
Back to the brunch. Milk Teeth is the sister restaurant to cult fave, Milk, which draws in brunch fans from far and wide (its weekend queues are pretty wild). The good news is Milk Teeth is less busy, just as good, and with more room to hang-about. It’s also the perfect place to set up camp with your laptop — definitely on many a freelancer’s radar.
On to the food, it’s all about creative combos at Milk Teeth rather than your straight up breakfast classics. No Eggs Benny here! For a welcomed change from avocado on toast, get the broad bean and pea smash, served on sourdough and piled high with mint and fresh greenery. And if you like something a bit different, the Vadouvan Eggs hit the mark. Visit at the weekend and give into your sweet tooth with the sourdough bread end waffles. Made from the ends of the bread through the week (hello zero food waste!) they’re served with fresh cherries and burnt marshmallow. Naughty but very very nice.
If it's your thing, Milk Teeth's homemade kombucha is heavenly with seasonal flavours, and the iced coffee is excellent. Creamy AF and served in their own branded ‘Milk’ beer bottles.
You'll love Milk Teeth. It’s fun, relaxed, creative and delicious. Brunch fans, get it on your list and make the pilgrimage.
